RD Horizon is private company derived from comprehensive experience in the past - business model enables activities within two generic fields of expertise: 1) Networking within European Research Area; 2) Addressing variety of R&D fields with emphasis on Technology Transfer.
The purpose of the RD Horizon is to provide an environment that encourages development potentials, introduces new knowledge in order to boost the integration of professional and/or university knowledge with businesses as well as influences the process of sustainable regional development. The overall objectives of RD Horizon are 1) Increasing the innovative capacity and achievement of breakthrough development for partner stakeholders; 2) Exploitation of comparative advantages of regions and businesses; 3) Stimulation of synergies between partners and stakeholders in the regional environment.
RD Horizon has extensive experience in preparation of national as well as regional and sector strategies.
In this way, activities defining the Strategy of RD Horizon and addressing the external environment are applied in the internal environment of RD Horizon as a way of performance and management. Performance of RD Horizon indicates a network activity where the institutional frame allows clustering of capacities, and the external partners clustering of contents.
SABER project represents excellent case for implementation of RD Horizon's strategic orientation, SABER network can help to explore the possibilities for deployment of complementary broadband technologies as well as to influence the strategic level for next programming period.
