E-Trikala SA is a Municipal Development SME, based in the Municipality of Trikala in Greece. Over the last years it acts as an advisor on ICT issues for the Municipality and is responsible for the ICT strategy of the region. It has experience in deploying satellite broadband services in remote villages of the highlands of the region, as it has done so in four distinct spots in the region, mostly in mountainous areas.
In the scope of the SABER project, the region of Trikala is regarded one of the experienced ones. As such, it is expected to share its experience of deploying satellite through the preparation of a case study accompanied with a best practice guide, so as to be presented to the other regions. It will participate in all the network round tables, workshops and the conferences to be conducted. It will provide input to the validation of guidelines and toolkits and disseminate any findings according to the project's requirements.
