The Regional Centre for Innovation and Technology Transfer Ltd. (RCITT) was established as a non-profit organization in 2001. The mission of the RCITT is not only to promote a local entrepreneurship, but also to stimulate the regional development of the Swietokrzyskie region. The stakeholders are the Marshal Office of the Swietokrzyskie Voivodeship, Kielce Municipal Office and the Kielce University of Technology. The RCITT is also fulfilling their mission by implementing and conducting projects relating to regional development. Therefore, it supports regional and local authorities in their tasks within a scope of innovative development, promotion and support in implementing the projects such as renewable energy sources or effective energy use.

Essentially, theRCITT strives for strengthening competitiveness of region in the field of manufacturing, services, education and management. Our organization, as one of the leading business support centres in the region, offers both companies, individuals and public institutions (e.g. local governments) a range of information, consultancy, training, workshops and expert services. Moreover, the RCITT's tasks also include: promotion, brokerage services and events, seminars, conferences and expert services. Entrepreneurs can get free information about setting up a business, searching for external funding sources and opportunities to enter foreign markets are a case in point. On client's request the RCITT experts carry out free of charge technology audit services in order to provide detailed information and indications to improve condition of the company. The result of the audit is mainly to define technology profile, which is a tool to looking for business partner and funds for further development.

The staff of RCITT is experienced and has the knowledge in all issues relating to the implementation and projects financed from public sources. The main activities of the RCITT are: RES, ICT and tourism which are the key branches for regional development. What is more, the RCITT staff are members of an Intelligent Energy, the Enterprise Europe Network, green procurement European Commission Expert, etc.

The RCITT as a non-profit organization is a "bridge" between regional authorities, local decision makers and economy actors. Those partners are leading an important role in the whole process of making decision relating to the sustainable development at local and regional level in accordance with European and national policy and innovative trends in different sectors of the economic life. This activity contributes to a better understanding of local innovative economy and as a result, it raises its competitiveness. The key element of the process is public procurement, mainly in their innovative aspects concerning the energy efficiency, in which stable public transport plays one of the most significant role.

The main tasks of RCITT as mentioned above is to support projects activities in Poland and to gain access to both the R&D community and city authorities that may be interested in joining collaborative procurement actors. It will also explore, together with peers, how national and EU research and innovation programmes can better support objectives of innovation policy in public procurement.
