Infotér Association (IT pro Society Association, in Hungarian: Informatika a Társadalomért Egyesület) was established in 2007 to contribute to the development of the Hungarianu ng information society by conducting research and dissemination of relevant information. The main goal of the association is to make sure that IT projects in public administration undoubtedly serve the interest of the society. As for the main activities of Infotér, they are as follows:
a) research and dissemination of information related to infocom and knowledge based development of the country
b) monitoring and creating opinions on IT projects in public administration – representing the interest of the society, dissemination of its opinions, creating proposals for methodologies
c) creating opinions on issues of IT related legislation, and dissemination of its opinions
d) contribution to efforts for integration of Hungarians living beyond boarders to the Hungarian information society.
